      • Nov 3, 2025 update:-Lighting was improved slightly but this too dark to allow proper cleaning and pest indentification.The lighting in the dry storage room is very poor.By November 22, 2025 ensure there is adequate lighting to ensure proper cleaning and pest control can be conducted.

      • No chlorine was measured in the sanitizing solution. Corrected to 100ppm.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Last pest control report from their pest control operator indicated that there was no activity.There were 2 live cockroaches found on a glue board in the dishwashing area. Multiple dead ones found on several glue boards but it is unknown when the those boards were placed out.Contact your pest control operator and inform them of the new activity then follow their direction.

      • Minor mouse droppings observed in the utility room (southwest corner of the kitchen). ACTION REQUIRED: clean up the mouse droppings and monitor for further activity.       • Food handling permit posted had expired in 2024.ACTION REQUIRED: print and post the current food handling permit.

      • Fluorescent lighting above the ice machine in the service area was not equipped with a protective cover. ACTION REQUIRED: install a protective cover on the indicated light.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • A bowl was left in the bulk lentils bin (Rubbermaid, navy container in the storage area located on the East side of the facility). CDI: bowl removed.ACTION REQUIRED: discontinue using bowls as scoops. Store scoops so the handle is not in contact with the bulk food product.

      • Staff did not have the exhaust canopy turned on while cooking was occurring. Heavy grease & dust build-up on ceiling panels above the smaller exhaust canopy (central cooking area). ACTION REQUIRED: conduct a deep, thorough clean of the ceiling panels and flat surfaces in this area. Ensure staff are turning on the exhaust canopy when cooking.

      • 2023-03-20Mouse droppings observed in the mechanical room. ACTION REQUIRED: clean up mouse droppings. No activity noted on last two months' reports. _____________________2022-01-19-There was a gap underneath the back exit door. Have this gap sealed so that there is no visible light shining through when the door is fully closed to prevent entry of pests.

      • Light in the walk-in cooler was not equipped with a protective cover. ACTION REQUIRED: Install a protective cover on the indicated light.

      • Some of the deep fryer baskets were fraying at the seams. ACTION REQUIRED: replace baskets that are in disrepair.

      • Overall sanitation in immediate food processing areas was satisfactory. However, the following areas require further attention:-Dust build-up on the wall of the walk-in cooler-General filth build-up on the wall and light switch in the dry storage area-Debris under the shelving in the dry storage area-Grease build-up on the ventilation canopy (smaller canopy)-Grease & dust build-up on upper shelving in the cookline and the large rice bin-General filth build-up on the dish trays - scrubbing requiredACTION REQUIRED: conduct deep clean of the above noted areas. Revise cleaning schedule to include these areas.
