      • Baby wipes used for skin cleansing were not available at all workstations including the back waxing room and the facial waxing/threading station

      • Barbicide container was not being filled to the top so that hair tools were fully immersed in disinfectantBarbicide is not being refreshed daily as per manufacturer's instructions

      • Bioline Jato facial creams and serums do not have instructions for use on the containers. Manufacturer's instructions for use must be available onsite for staff reference

The paper covering was covered in wax and visibly dirty. Paper covers may be used but must be replaced regularly as they are not cleanableBed covers in both wax rooms were visibly dirty

      • -There was no sharps container for shaving blades
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • - The dryer was not vented to the outside. Ensure that the dryer is vented to the outside.

    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • -There were no handwashing supplies at the sink at the waxing/threading station. Please ensure sinks are equipped with supplies.
    • 10. Is cleansing and antisepsis of skin and mucous membrane performed in accordance to written procedures and are suitable products being used?
      • - There was evidence that cleansing of the skin is not being done prior to a service that may involve contact with mucous membrane, or that will puncture or may potentially break skin. Cleanser was not available in all service areas, no cotton pads to apply cleanser. Ensure cleanser is available at all work stations and supplies needed to apply cleanser.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • - Contaminated equipment is not adequately separated and identifiable from clean equipment. Unclean equipment was being kept in clean storage areas at waxing and hair stations. Ensure contaminated equipment is stored completely separate from clean equipment to prevent contamination of clean equipment.

      • - Used non-critical equipment (scissors for waxing, brushes, clippers) was not being adequately cleaned and dried prior to disinfection. Ensure equipment is: disassembled, cleaned to remove soil, and rinsed and dried prior to disinfection or sterilization.

      • - Non-critical equipment (scissors for waxing, brushes, clippers) is not being adequately cleaned and disinfected. Ensure non-critical equipment is cleaned and disinfected using, at a minimum, a low-level disinfectant.

      • - The personal services facility is not maintained in a visibly clean state:*Beds used for waxing were visibly unclean*The facial steamer was unclean and water left inside was cloudy. Please ensure the unit is cleaned and water is replaced after each use
