    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The disinfectant in use for reusable nail equipment is PreEmpt RTU. This is considered an intermediate level disinfectant. Reusable nail equipment such as nippers, clippers and cuticle pushers are considered semi-critical equipment and thus require a high level disinfectant. In addition to this, the operator had just run out of disinfectant. There was enough left for possibly the rest of the day but no more. When asked, the operator said that she would order more. Please purchase a high-level disinfectant for use on the reusable nail tools. If the facility is to open tomorrow and see clients, this disinfectant MUST be purchased before then.
