    • R1.1 - Does the Licensee operate in accordance with their license and inform Licensing of any significant changes?
      • Observation(s): The last routine inspections is not posted in the facility. Posting the inspection report provides Persons in Care and families access to the report. Submit by April 29, 2026, the plan that will be implemented to come into compliance with Section 11(1)(b) of the Residential Care Regulation. The plan must also include a system for ongoing monitoring to ensure sustained compliance with the legislative requirements.
      • R1.1O - Display, in a prominent place in the facility, the most recent routine inspection record. (Does not apply to Child and Youth Residential or Community Living); 11( 1 )(b)
    • R2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters relating to the care and supervision of persons in care?
      • Observation(s): The emergency plan has not been updated to reflect evacuation locations or transportation logistics. The emergency plan is not displayed in a prominent place. Failing to update an emergency plan could pose a risk to the health and safety of persons in care if the plan is not current and viable. An emergency plan must be easily available to staff in the event of an emergency. Submit by April 29, 2026, the plan that will be implemented to come into compliance with Section 51(2) and (4) of the Residential Care Regulation. The plan must also include a system for ongoing monitoring to ensure sustained compliance with the legislative requirements.

      • R2.1I - Display a copy of the emergency plan in a prominent place; 51 ( 4 )
    • R4.4 - Are records kept on each employee with the necessary requirements?
      • Observation(s): A review of a staff file indicates that there is not a current criminal record check. While this staff is a licensed professional, there must be a current record retained. A review of other staff files indicated that there was not a clear system on recording the record requirements. Ensure that staff records are updated and organized ensures compliance with the Residential Care Regulation. Submit by April 29, 2026, the plan that will be implemented to come into compliance with Section 86(a) of the Residential Care Regulation. The plan must also include a system for ongoing monitoring to ensure sustained compliance with the legislative requirements.

    • R7.1 - Are the physical facility, equipment and furnishings maintained, sanitary, accessible and appropriate for persons in care?
      • Observation(s): June 26, 2024 The Licensee has a system in place for ensuring that the weekly menu is posted; however, during the inspection it was noted that the weekly menu was not posted. The Manager printed the weekly menu and posted it in a temporary manner immediately. The Manager reported that they will ensure the menu remains posted moving forward, and that two nutritious snacks, with each snack containing at least 2 food groups as described in Canada's Food Guide are also listed on the menu.

    • R4.3 - Is documentation concerning restraints adequate?
      • Observation(s): No restraint tracking documents in use and monitoring charted at end of shift not at the time that monitoring occurred. Contravention was corrected during inspection. During inspection manager created and implemented a tracking document and explained how it would be used to meet the monitoring requirement.
      • R4.3D - Keep a record of the duration of the restraint and the monitoring of the person in care during the restraint in the persons care plan; 84(d)
