- Preempt CS20, Preempt RTU and Barbicide disinfectants were available.Preempt CS20 (exp Feb 2026) is changed each day it is used for extraction loop (semi-critical equipment).*** Operator was preparing fresh solutions of Barbicide weekly, which is contrary to the manufacturer's instructions for use (MIFU), requiring solutions be changed daily.Recommend that a ready to use low or intermediate level disinfectant is used to disinfect non-critical equipment, thereby no longer requiring disinfectant solutions be prepared daily.

- Requirement for submitting Personal Services Notification was discussed with operator.PSN was submitted during the inspection.

- Facility written procedures for skin cleansing, use of antiseptic and client care in case of accidental cuts and punctures were provided to the operator during the inspection.Please keep them for quick reference.

- It It was observed that operator was using the hair washing sink (plumbed into permanent source of water) for hair washing and tools reprocessing.Discussed with operator that it is recommended to have dedicated sink for tools reprocessing, however in the absence of extra sink, sink can be used for dual purpose.Make sure to maintain and follow the written procedures for sink decontamination between and after use for hair washing and processing of semi-critical tools.
