     • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) A bag of opened pinto beans was left unsealed and open to contamination on one of the bottom shelves. (Public health significance): Contamination of food that is open or unsealed can cause serious illness due to cross-contamination or contact with objects, people, pests, or chemicals.
     • Corrective Action: Cover or otherwise protect all foods from airborne contaminants, drips from raw foods, and contact with objects and staff. This was corrected at the time of inspection, as the employee placed the bag in a secure container. The operator must ensure that employees are provided with sufficient additional containers to store dry-storage foods, and that any opened items are stored properly in food-grade containers.
