    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • Facility specific written procedures were not completed. AHS template for applicable facility specific written procedures were discussed and left onsite to be completed.client care, skin cleansing, post care and decontamination of dual purpose sink.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • No disinfectant was noted onsite to disinfect the bowls and heads of microderm abrasion. Bowls used in chemical peel or facials were reportedly being washed in the kitchen dishwasher. The heads of microderm abrasion were reportedly being disinfected with alcohol. Ensure no reprocessing is done in kitchen equipment or area. Use reprocessing sink to wash and disinfect all equipment and air dry. Obtain at minimum a low level disinfectant to disinfect the non-critical tools. An intermediate level disinfectant (PreEmpt RTU) is recommended for microderm abrasion heads. Obtain

      • Beyond use dates were not marked on the cosmetic products. Ensure all products with beyond use date are marked with their expiry date after first opening.

      • Laundry sink was being used to reprocessing sink. AHS Template for decontamination of dual purpose sink was provided and discussed onsite to complete.
