   • 02. Is all food in this facility from an approved source and/or properly labelled?
     • Three cartons of eggs were noted in the refrigerator during the inspection. Two cartons were marked with a date of 2026 MR 26, while one carton was dated 2021 MR 11. All egg cartons were identified as Western Family Large Size White Eggs. Two of the cartons displayed the same logo, while one was different.The operator claims that the eggs were bought at a local grocery store in this condition and asserted that they are inspected eggs. A receipt from Family Foods dated February 14, 2026, was presented, indicating the purchase of four cartons of eggs (SPARKS medium eggs). During the inspection, I failed to notice that the receipt pertained to a different brand of eggs. Please provide the receipt for the purchase of these eggs or the name of the farm they originated from.I also noticed several empty egg containers being stored on a shelf. When I asked about these, I was informed that they are being saved for a friend.Operator discarded the eggs in the carton with the 2021 date. I asked if I could keep the carton for follow up and was provided this.Additionally, a package of ground beef was found in the freezer without any label indicating its source. I requested a receipt but was told that none was available. I was informed that the meat was sourced from a local ranch that supplies other commercial food establishments. Follow up on the source of the beef will be done.
