      • Test strips used to measure chlorine sanitizer solution concentration were not available onsite during inspection. Obtain test strips designed to measure the concentration of chlorine sanitizer solutions for food facilities.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Pest control records were not available onsite at the time of inspection.Ensure that monthly pest control service records are maintained and kept onsite and are readily available for review during inspections.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Mold-like growth was observed on the wall beneath the handwashing sink in the washroom.Investigate the source of moisture and replace and discard any water damaged building materials. Ensure that the wall is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • The ceiling lights located above the food handling counter next to the microwave and over the aisles were observed to be missing shatter-proof coverings.Ensure that all ceiling lights in these areas are equipped with shatter-proof covers or are replaced with shatter-resistant LED lighting.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Black mold-like growth was observed on the back wall beneath the fans in the walk-in cooler. At the time of inspection, only prepackaged, low-risk beverages were stored in the walk-in cooler.Ensure that the identified area is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized and is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.
