      • In the front packaging area, operators’ personal items (e.g., jackets, snacks, fruits, coffee cup) were stored in the same area as clean equipment.Personal items must be stored in a designated area where they do not pose a potential contamination hazard to food contact surfaces or clean area.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Pest control record was not available. Pest control record was not available. Operator requested for a new copy of the AHS be deliver in person to him.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • A valid food handling permit was in the binder for use at the farmer’s market. Please make an additional copy and post it on the wall

      • A chlorine sanitizer (100 ppm) was prepared during the inspection.
    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • A 3-compartment sink, test strips, and a container of bleach was available. But the operator was not following proper procedures according to his description. Please ensure you always follow the 4- step process - clean, wash, rinse and sanitize.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Pest control record was not available. Operator requested for few days to get it update and send it to me.

      • There were lots of food debris on the floor. There is a need for improvement in the overall sanitation of the facility.

      • Lemon scented bleach is being used for sanitizing food equipment. Please remove the lemon scented bleach and use only unscented bleach moving forward.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Mouse droppings were observed on the floor in two corners of the kitchen. Please clean up the mouse droppings and begin maintaining monthly pest control reports.
