- Used single use items such as nail files, sponges etc. were noted in almost all nail stations. Please discard all used single use items.

- - Cleaned/disinfected tools were stored in a soiled towel warmer. The operator was advised not to store cleaned/disinfected tools in the towel warmer. Please clean/disinfect all tools and store them in a manner that prevents contamination.

- Storage containers and tools noted in the waxing room were soiled. The operator was advised to clean/disinfect all tools and storage containers. Please be advised that all items must be cleaned/disinfected between clients.

- - Work stations were not being cleaned/disinfected between clients.All workstations must be cleaned and disinfected between clients using a low-level disinfectant. - Alcohol is being used as disinfectant to disinfect nail drills. Please note that alcohol is not considered a disinfectant and must not be used to disinfect any equipment. Please ensure to clean and disinfect using an approved disinfectant.- Please ensure to clean/disinfect pedicure tubs using PreEmpt RTU. Please ensure to maintain manufacturer's instructed contact time.- Cleaned/disinfected tools were stored in a soiled towel warmer. - 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
- Staff members were not washing hands between tasks, after touching garbage bin. Importance of handwashing was discussed with the operator. Please wash hands between tasks.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- It was noted that the PreEmpt CS 20 was reading 0 ppm with operator's test strips. The staff members were not properly trained on how to test CS20. Records did not identify when was the last time CS 20 was replaced. High level disinfectant testing records indicates that the CS20 is within acceptable range, but the testing is not being performed properly Please train staff members properly. The CS20 solution was discarded during the inspection. The operator was further advised to clean and disinfect all reusable tools properly.

- It was noted that the staff members were using reprocessing sink to wash hands. Please note that reprocessing sink must not be used for any other purposes unless a written procedure is in place and is being followed.This was discussed with the operator. Please train staff members.

Full sharps containers can be dropped off at a local waste drop-off facility, such as an Eco station, which can provide more information on proper and safe sharps disposal.
