      • Chemicals such as room spray and bleach/chlorine sanitizer were observed to be on the handwashing sink counter within reach of children. Ensure all chemicals are stored in locked cabinets on elevated surfaces that children cannot access. The operator relocated the indicated chemicals during the inspection.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Several paper towels observed without dispensers. Ensure paper towels are provided in suitable dispensers to help prevent potential contamination. The operator provided adequate paper towel dispensers during the inspection.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Diapering pad in the preschool room was observed to be in disrepair. Ensure all equipment such as diapering pads are smooth, resistant to moisture and easy to clean. The operator discarded the indicated diapering pad during inspection.

      • X Frances Fong noted small tears on the diaper change mat cover in the Infant room.

      • X There was a hole in the Preschool washroom wall.X Expandible foam has been used to seal gaps on walls and floors. The excess foam should be trimmed off and covered to provide smooth and easy to clean surfaces.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • X A handle was missing from a cabinet door in the Preschool room, exposing the end of a screw which posed a hazard to children.X The cover on the diaper change mat in the Toddler room was torn.X Duct tape was used to cover the gap around the doorknob on the back exterior door in the Infant Room. The use of duct tape to repair the door is not a permanent solution.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Infant room (first infant room):Child safety lock under sink - please replace and ensure all hazards are kept out of reach of children.Push pins noted in infant rooms. Please remove push pins and use items that cannot create a hazard. Ensure safety checks are completed daily. Chemicals noted to be stored under sink in staff washroom. Strongly recommend to have additional safety measure (child safety lock installed) as washroom door is not locked.*Staff washroom is in infant room.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Toddler room: Sink near washroom did not have paper towel in close proximity. Staff were using paper towel that were stored between adjacent sinks.Please have paper towel near the single hand sink to ensure adequate hand washing including drying of hands is completed.March 3 - It is strongly recommended that a paper towel dispenser is installed on the wall near the hand sink as paper towel was not able to be stored near the sink due to small counter space. NOT CORRECTED.

      • 1. Preschool room walls in and near the bathroom were noted to be in unsanitary condition.2. Preschool bathroom - toilet lid was broken and taped. Please replace toilet lid to be in good repair.

      • Kinder/OSC Girls washroom: Hand sink faucet was loose.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • Staff washroom: Toilet paper dispenser was broken Kinder/OSC washroom: Toilet paper dispenser was broken.
