    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • A high-level disinfectant (HLD) is required for disinfection of semi-critical equipment (i.e. nail clippers, cuticle pusher/cutters etc.). Purchase a high-level disinfectant (HLD). Most HLD’s have a 14 to 30-day reuse period but you must also retain proper indicator test strips and keep HLD logs.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • A proper reprocessing sink is required. Install a sink that is connected to a permanent potable water system that is capable of producing hot and cold running water, and ensure it has sufficient work surface area to adequately accommodate the placement of cleaned equipment. The work surface area and sink must be located in an area to which client access is restricted and must not be located in a room that contains a toilet or in a kitchen.

Additional information required.Cosmetic products used in a personal service must be clearly labeled with information about the product identity and manufacturer. A complete list of ingredients and manufacturer’s instructions for safe use must accompany all cosmetic products and be available for reference by personal services workers at all times.
