      • Several flies observed in the mop sink area. Ensure pest control measures are taken to help eliminate the presence of pests in the facility.

      • Several flies observed in the mop sink area. Ensure pest control measures are taken to help eliminate the presence of pests in the facility.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • 1. A buildup of grime was observed on the floors beneath the prep counters in the main food prep area. 2. A buildup of grime was observed beneath the front bar counter. 1-2. Ensure the indicated areas are cleaned and sanitized.

    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • The ice scoop was observed to be placed on top of the ice machine. Ensure the ice scoop is stored in a clean container to help prevent potential contamination. The operator provided a clean container for the ice scoop during the inspection.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Several flies observed in the mop sink area. Ensure pest control measures are taken to help eliminate the presence of pests in the facility.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • A container of water with a black hose was observed beneath the bar area. Ensure the indicated plumbing is repaired.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • 1. A buildup of grime was observed on the floors beneath the prep counters in the main food prep area. 2. A buildup of grime was observed beneath the front bar counter. 1-2. Ensure the indicated areas are cleaned and sanitized.

    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • 1. The high temperature dishwasher was measured at 65C at dish-level. 2. The iodine-based dishwasher present at the bar area was measured at 15 ppm Iodine concentration.Action taken/required:1. The staff member was instructed to call the technician for both the dishwashers and get the repair. 2. Meanwhile, staff was instructed to soak the washed utensils/dishes in the large food-grade bin containing the sanitizer solution (either bleach at 100 ppm or Quats at 200 ppm) for at least 2-5 minutes to adequately sanitize the dishes.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • -Test papers for iodine were not present. Action required:-Please purchase the iodine test papers, ensure that it shows the 25-50 ppm range on the reference paper.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • -Food permit not displayed to the public.Action taken:-Staff was instructed to paste the permit on a location that is easily visible to the public.Note*- It is recommended to paste the permit on the bar area/till area.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • - Ventilation system was not serviced. The hood and the exhaust vent had grease/oil buildup.-A confirmation date for the kitchen exhaust systems cleaning has already received from the facility via email. Action required:-Cleaning is required.
