    • 12. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • At time of inspection:1. There did not appear to be any pest control records available for review. Be advised that all commercial food establishments must have a pest control program in place to ensure pests do not enter into this facility. A pest control program can be achieved in two ways:a. Hire a pest control professional to monitor this facility for pests orb. Fill out the AHS pest control checklist as outlined. The AHS pest control checklist document has been served to the owner / operator of this facility.The owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. If a pest control professional is hired to monitor this facility for pests, please submit the most recent two (2) pest control invoices / inspection reports so that they can be reviewed.2. If item 1 is not applicable, please begin filling out the AHS pest control checklist and ensure this document is filled out once per month and kept in a binder so that they can be reviewed during future inspections. The most recent twelve (12) pest control checklists only need to be placed inside this binder for review.

      • At time of inspection:1. The ice packages being stored in both the front and rear freezers were not being properly labelled. Be advised that all ice packages must contain a suitable label to identify:- The name / business name of where the food product originates- The business contact information- A packaged-on dateThe owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. Ensure all ice packages contain an appropriate label as indicated above.
    • 17. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • At time of inspection:1. There did not appear to be any records to indicate how and how often the ice machine (internally) is being cleaned and disinfected.The owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. Devise a sanitation schedule (as per the manufacturer's requirements) on how and how often this appliance is to be cleaned and disinfected. Records must be made available to review during future inspections.2. Obtain chemical test strips to ensure the concentration of chemical sanitizer being used meets or exceeds the minimum concentration to adequately sanitize this appliance - internally.
