- Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
- Found "homemade" sandwiches and salads being sold at the premises. Labels do not meet CFIA requirements and unable to verify where the products are being made.
- Corrective Action(s):
- Immdiately stop selling the products and remove them from the shelf, until the source of production can be verified. At time of inspection, operator removed from retail shelves.

- Observation:
- Found rodent droppings on retail shelves and on the floor within the flower display, under shelves, and and along the base of walls behind shelves and coolers. Rodent droppings carry disease.
- Corrective Action(s):
- 1) Clean up the rodent droppings, wash all surfaces with hot water and soap, and then sanitize with bleach and water solution. Cleaning of these areas shall be done on a daily basis to remove the droppings.
- 2) Hire a professional pest company to eliminate the rodent problem. The company should be servicing the premises on a regular basis, and continue to do so until the rodents are eliminated.
- 3) Follow and complete all recommendations made by the pest control company.

- The floor and shelves have accumulated dirt and dust on them. There are accumulation of plastic flower trays under displays. These conditions will attract and harbor pests.
- Corrective Action(s):
- Clean the floor and shelves to remove the accumulated dirt and dust. This shall be done every day. Throw away or remove any extra or unused items.

- Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
- Found rodent bait boxes placed around the premises. The use of rodent poison/bait in a food premises is dangerous as the rodents eat and touch the poison. Then they walk and touch other surfaces (food packages) and put the poison on it.
- Corrective Action(s):
- Immediately remove all rodent bait boxes inside the food premises and stop using rodent poison inside. Only use mechanical methods (glueboards, snap traps, catch-all-traps) inside the premises to catch rodents. The owner discarded the rodent bait boxes during the inspection.
