      • Observation(s): - Upon arrival at the facility, Licensing observed 2 school age children outside alone and doing a puzzle on the play yard patio. Licensing asked the children if they were allowed to be outside alone and they both said yes. While the entry door to the facility and adjacent to the patio had been left open about 12 inches, Licensing observed the 2 children outside alone for 10 minutes. Upon entering the facility, Licensing observed the manager caring for 7 other school age children inside. Licensing explained the purpose of the visit to the manager and explained that children being left alone outside is a contravention to Section 39(1) of the Child Care Licensing Regulation which requires that children in care be supervised at all times. The manager resolved this contravention during the inspection by bringing the 2 children inside with the rest of the group. During the inspection, Licensing observed 9 children and the manager present in the Group Child Care (School Age) program. The Preschool program does not operate in the summer months.
