    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • No written procedures for the following tasks:-client care in the event of an accidental skin cut or puncture -decontamination of any sink that will be used for both handwashing and equipment reprocessing- the cleansing of skin and mucous membrane Provide written procedures for the following issues.
    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • 1) Used large wooden wax sticks were found drying inside a hot towel unit. 2) Used toe separators in the pedicure cart.3) Used small pumice scrub at a manicure station.1 to 3) Discard single use items after use.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) Semi-critical nail tools were not being disinfected properly. PREempt HLD5 was expired since May 25, 2024.2) Large foot Scrubbers do not fit in the disinfectant soaker container. Tools need to be completely submerged into the disinfectant. Provide a big container or do not use the large foot scrubbers.3) Waxing pillow was covered in two white plastic bags. Change covers/ towels after each client or remove the pillow.4) Waxing stains on the bedding.Change bedding after each client or wax directly on the table.

      • Preempt RTU was being diluted.- Corrected during inspection - Do not dilute RTU, must be used at full strength per manufacturer's instructions.
