      • OSC: The sensory bin with sensory materials in the storage shelf did not have a lid. Additionally, uncleanable items, such as a bird’s nest, were found on top of the shelf. Please discard these items.

      • November 19, 2025: No mouse droppings were observed at the time of inspection.November 12, 2025:OSC: Mouse droppings were observed near the back door of the classroom.Please ensure the following: - Continue to contract the services of a licensed pest control company to address the rodent issue and submit all reports from the company to Alberta Health Services.- Discard all affected items that cannot be properly cleaned and sanitized.- Conduct a thorough deep cleaning and disinfect the facility using a 1000 ppm bleach solution. All mice droppings must be removed.- Declutter the facility and ensure no items are stored directly on the floor, as this can hinder regular cleaning efforts.- Wash all bedding and soft toys, then dry them in a hot air dryer.- Clean and disinfect all toys thoroughly. After disinfecting with a 1000 ppm bleach solution, ensure toys are rinsed with clean water to remove any residual bleach.

      • All Classrooms: The cleaning rag bucket was placed on the sink. Please ensure that the dirty rag bucket is stored in a different location to prevent cross-contamination.

      • 1. All Classrooms: Several push pins are inserted on the walls. In the OSC classroom, two push pins were found on the floor. Please remove all push pins, as they may fall and pose a risk of injury to children. Use tape or sticky tack as a safer alternative.2. Tiny Jumper: The charging cable of the tablet was accessible to the children. Please ensure electrical cords are out of children’s reach.3. Tiny Dreamers: Water beads are placed in Ziplock bags that can be easily opened by children during sensory play. Please refrain from using water beads, as children may accidentally consume them.4. Tiny Jumpers, Tiny Dreamers, OSC: Several shelves are not properly secured: the tall shelf (approx. 5 ft) near the washroom in Tiny Jumpers, the tall shelf (approx. 5 ft) by the cots in Tiny Dreamers, and the shelf by the yellow board in OSC. Please ensure all shelves are secured to prevent accidents.

Please declutter these spaces to ensure effective cleaning.5. OSC: The areas around the fridge are dirty. Please clean and sanitize thoroughly.6. Tiny Jumpers, OSC: Toy cubbies in both Tiny Jumpers and OSC are dusty. Please clean and sanitize thoroughly.

      • 1. All Classrooms: A designated bin for dirty toys is missing. Please ensure that a mouthed toy bin is placed in every classroom to separate toys that have been mouthed or soiled.2. Tiny Dreamers: Bins containing sensory items such as paper crumbs, kinetic sand, pasta, etc. are currently stored on top of each other without lids. Please ensure that sensory play materials which cannot be easily cleaned are discarded in a timely manner. If sensory materials are intended for multi‑day use, they must be placed in a bin with a secure lid and stored in a sanitary manner.

      • 1. Tiny Jumpers, Dreamers: Some toys with many crevices are visibly grimy. Please clean them thoroughly (using a brush to reach crevices) and visually inspect to ensure they are fully clean before sanitizing.2. OSC: Natural play items that cannot be cleaned or disinfected have been observed in the classrooms. Please ensure these items are discarded promptly once the project is completed, or in a timely manner

      • 1. Tiny Jumpers: The labels on children’s water bottles are wearing off. Please ensure that all personal belongings are clearly labelled to avoid mix-ups and maintain proper hygiene.2. Tiny Jumpers: A bucket for used rags was placed on top of classroom supplies underneath the hand sink. Please ensure that classroom supplies are stored in a sanitary manner, and that the bucket for dirty cloths is kept separately to prevent contamination.3. Tiny Toes: Items were observed stored on top of the toilet and in/around the toilet area. Please ensure that classroom supplies are not stored in or around toilets and that they are maintained in a sanitary manner.

The same disinfecting spray bottle is currently being used for both diapering mats and classroom surfaces/toys. Please ensure that separate disinfecting sprays are available (one dedicated exclusively for diapering areas and another for general classroom sanitizing) to prevent cross-contamination.3. Tiny Jumpers: The diapering mat is torn. Please replace.

      • Dreamers room: PApertowels were not available by the hand sink to dry hands. Please ensure hand washing supplies including the paper towels are available by the hand sink.

      • A staff member did not wash their hands with soap and was reminded to wash hands properly using soap.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1) Observed staff not using a liner on the change table prior to changing a diaper.2) There was no disinfection of the change table immediately after changing a diaper.**Jumpers room.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 1) Walls in the Jumpers Room were damaged.-repair all wall damage and ensure all surfaces are smooth, durable, non-absorbent and easily washable. 2) Light fixture in the Dreamers washroom was broken. Glass cover was damaged and needs to be removed/replaced.3) The washroom toilet in the Dreamers room is constantly flowing so the door is locked.-repair the toilet. The toilets need to be available for children. 4) There was raw, unfinished wood (2x4) in the Dreamers washroom.-paint the raw wood. All surfaces must be non-absorbent and easily washable.
