      • ** Cots were stacked with sheets on them and fabric was touching. All personal bedding must be kept adequately separated to prevent transmission of disease.

    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • -Exposed wood on the shelf in the OSC room. The operator provided photos of a cover on the shelf. Please note that this may not be an effective long-term solution.-The finish was wearing on a cardboard playhouse structure. Photos were provided showing worn items removed.Ensure all surfaces are smooth and easily cleanable.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • Low water pressure was noted for both hot and cold water at the staff washroom sink.Please fix. Ensure that all sinks are properly maintained, have sufficient water pressure to support effective handwashing.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Bedding was being stacked on top of other bedding and was touching. The operator provided photos showing appropriate separation of bedding. Ensure all bedding is kept separate at all times.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • There was a wire door stop in the infant room which could be a pinch hazard. Please replace with an alternative such as a solid (non-coil) door stopper.The blue/grey carpet in the Older Preschool Room (2) was lifting and could be a tripping hazard. Please repair.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Table cloths were present over the diaper storage shelves in the preschool bathroom. Table cloths were torn and not in good repair. Removal or replacement required.The top of the shelves were wearing in the Toddler room. Wood was beginning to be exposed. Repair / finishing required.The shelf liner on the storage shelf in the Young Preschool washroom was lifting. Repair or replacement required.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Dirt/Sand was observed under the change pad in the change pad in the preschool bathroom. Please be reminded to clean these areas.The fan cover in the OSC bathroom was dirty. Cleaning required.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Several baby dolls in the Toddler room were visibly dirty. Please remove from use.Rubber duckies in the young preschool room had holes and were being used for water play. Duckies appeared black inside due to mold growth. Sealed rubber toys are preferable for water play.An electronic Elmo was observed in the OSC/Kinder room. Please remove from use as this item cannot be easily cleaned.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Bottles in the infant room fridge were stored unprotected from possible contamination. Please ensure a lid or other type of protection is provided.
