    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • The facility uses 1,000 ppm chlorine solutions in the event of an outbreak; however, the available test strips only measure concentrations up to 200 ppm.Please ensure chlorine test strips are acquired that are capable of confirming outbreak-level disinfectant concentrations of 1,000 ppm are being prepared correctly.
    • 33. FSCUP - Is food-related equipment being properly managed and maintained to ensure the safe and sanitary operation of this social care un-permitted facility?
      • In the small room, a mini refrigerator with two compartments (a main compartment and a top freezer compartment) was observed. A medication lock box was stored in the main compartment; however, no medications are currently stored. Staff also use this refrigerator for storing lunches.The main compartment temperature was measured at 14 °C and was adjusted to the coldest setting during the inspection, with the lowest temperature observed reaching 10 °C.The freezer compartment was measured at 1 °C.No thermometer was available to independently verify refrigerator temperatures.Please ensure a reliable thermometer (e.g., probe, infrared, or another appropriate thermometer) is acquired to allow for routine temperature monitoring and to ensure any items requiring refrigeration are stored at or below 4 °C.

      • Multiple bookshelves in the facility are not stable and may tip over. Ensure that the furniture is stable and cannot be easily tipped over (e.g., securing furniture to the wall). This was corrected during the inspection.
