      • 1. Barbicide solution was not being changed regularly, the solution contained lot of dirt residues during the inspection-Please change the barbicide solution at least twice a week and ensure tools are cleaned before immersing them in the barbicide solution for disinfection.2. Salon equipment and tools (brushes and combs) were observed with layer of dirt and hair residues.-Please clean and disinfect all salon equipment and tools after use to prevent spread of infection.

      • Overly filled sharp containers were observed onsite.-Please appropriately dispose of the overflowing sharp containers immediately, and subsequently ensure the sharp containers are not filled past the line indicated. This is to protect personal service workers and clients from possible exposure to used sharps.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • Alcohol was being used to clean facility's surface.-Please procure and use low-level disinfectant such as preempt RTU or Lysol to ensure proper cleaning of surfaces.
    • 33. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Single-use wax applicators (wood spatula) including wax containers were contaminated with hair residues.-Please ensure wax applicators are kept in enclosed container and away from any source of contamination. Also, clean and sanitize the wax station immediately and ensure the wax containers and the indicated areas are maintained clean and sanitary at all times.

      • Comb/tool disinfectant, barbicide solution, was overly diluted, too light in colour.-Please follow the manufacturer's instruction in dilution and usage to ensure proper tool disinfection.

      • Waxing station and containers were not maintained in clean and sanitary condition, they were covered with layers of dust and hair residues.-Please clean and sanitize the indicated areas immediately and ensure the wax containers and station are maintained clean and sanitary at all times.

      • Some of the salon chairs were worn and torn.-Please repair or replace the indicated chairs to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of all surfaces.
