    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • **Updated June 11th, 2026:One of the corner shelfs still needed to be anchored. The shelf with the wheels on the bottom still needed to be anchored.**The corner shelf in the 3-4 year old room and the blue shelf in the 4-5/before and after school room were not anchored.Please secure the shelves to prevent them falling over.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Various finishes across the facility were in disrepair or peeling away making it difficult to clean. Please repair/replace the following equipment to ensure surfaces are smooth, non-porous, and easy to clean.- The storage shelf in the 3-4 year old room had the laminated cover peeling away- The finished was damaged on the bookshelf in the 4-5 year old - The finish on cubby for the bedsheet in the 4-5 room was damaged- The wall above the window in the before and aftercare room was water damaged- The blue shelf in the before and aftercare room had areas where the unfinished wood was exposedOperator plans to do renovations over the next few months which will address the concerns listed above.

      • 1.The diapering mat in the toddler room was torn, making it difficult to clean.Please repair/replace the damaged diapering mat so it smooth, waterproof, and easy to clean.2. the table under the diapering mat was dirty in the younger toddler room.- please clean and sanitize the area under the mat

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Acrylic and non age-appropriate craft materials were noted in some classrooms.-Please remove the indicated materials and review all craft materials in all classrooms, ensure they are age appropriate and suitable for each classroom.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Tweezers are missing from the first aid kits in all classrooms. In addition, the moistened wipes in the baby's room first aid kit had dried out.-Please restock all classroom first aid kits with the missing tweezers and replace the dried-out wipes in the baby's room kit. Additionally, ensure that the facility has a CPR mouthpiece available.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Surface sanitizer, bleach solution, was measured at 50ppm in toddlers' classroom.-Please dilute and ensure adequate concentration of bleach solution of 100ppm and daily monitoring with suitable test strip.-Please provide suitable test strip.2. Dirty carpets observed in baby and 3-4 years classrooms.Please clean the indicated carpets and maintain in sanitary condition.3. Carpets in some classrooms were observed held down with adhesive tapes, which have trapped dirt and is hindering proper cleaning.-Please remove the adhesive tape to allow for effective cleaning of the carpets and surrounding areas.4. Sensory bottles with multiple layers of tape were observed in some classroom. Multiple layers of tape may make the bottles difficult to clean properly.-Please seal the bottles appropriately using suitable glue to ensure properly cleaning.

      • 1. Hot water temperature was measured above 55 degrees Celsius in most classrooms and washrooms.-Please reduce and maintain hot water temperature between 38-43 degrees Celsius.2. One of the handwashing sinks in mixed age and BAS washroom was draining slowly.Please repair it to ensure proper handwashing practices.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Children’s bedding/linens were stored in a way that allowed them to touch each other in the older toddler room.-Please store them properly to ensure the beddings do not come into contact with each other.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Unsuitable garbage bins were observed in some classrooms and washrooms. These bins require users to touch the lids to operate them, which is not hygienic.-Please replace these bins with ones that can be operated without touching the lids (e.g., foot pedal).

      • Dirty carpets were observed in mixed age 1 and 2 classrooms.-Please clean and sanitize the indicated carpets to ensure sanitary conditions are maintained.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Lots of materials were observed stored on the floor in the storage area of the mixed age 4 classroom.-Please declutter the indicated area, store materials above the ground so that it can be easy to clean and monitor to ensure no pest activity.

      • Long tangling wires were observed in mixed age 3 classroom.-Please keep all long wire out of reach of children to prevent the risk of entanglement.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Dirt was observed under the diapering mat in the baby's room and mixed age classroom.-Please clean and sanitizing the indicated area after each diapering procedure.
    • 11. Are parent provided foods being properly handled and stored to ensure the safety of clients in this social care facility?
      • Unlabeled milk bottle was observed in the toddler's room refrigerator.-Please label all children's bottles appropriately.

      • 1. Dirty carpets were observed in mixed age 1 and 2 classrooms.-Please clean and sanitize the indicated carpets to ensure sanitary conditions are maintained.2. The mixed age child gate lock was broken.-Please repair or replace to ensure good repair.

      • An elevated slide play equipment without appropriate surface fall zone and hood canopy to prevent children sliding down from standing position was observed in the toddler room.-Please provide appropriate fall surface under and around the indicated equipment or remove the play structure to prevent injury.
