    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • -The diaper change pad the infant room, which has no enrollment at the moment, was cracked. Have this replaced with a diaper change pad in good repair, with smooth, impervious and easily cleanable surfacing. The Director indicated they had one available already that they could bring to the daycare.-The washroom by the back exit door also had a cracked diaper mat, this was replaced during inspection.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • -At the beginning of the inspection, there was no hot/warm water at the sinks and was measured around 9-10 degrees C. It was indicated that there was warm water in the morning, but that it had the electric water heater was turned off and would take a while for it to heat up again. Near the end of the inspection, the water in the kitchen was measured at 23 degrees C. Monitor the water temperatures with your thermometer to ensure hot/warm water is available. At handwash sinks accessible to children, it is recommended that water temperatures do not exceed 49 degrees C.-The handwash sink in the in the Toddler Room, was leaking sporadically onto the floor. Have this properly repaired.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • -The diapering mat in the Baby Room had some tears. The operator indicated that a new one has been ordered.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • -There was a strip of carpet in the Saturn Room that was installed with duct tape. Please repair.
