    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • -A cupboard used to store chemicals in the upstairs classroom was not secure. The cupboard was locked at the time of inspection. Please ensure that chemicals are kept secure and/or out of children’s reach.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • -Blind cords in the Tykes 3 Room were not secure. Please ensure blind cords are secured as they are a strangulation hazard
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • -Diapering is not being performed properly in this social care facility. The diaper table in the Tots 1 Room was not next to a sink and was next to a cupboard used to store lunches. In every social care facility where diaper changing is performed, diaper changing shall be performed completely separate from food areas.

      • -The first aid kits for this social care facility is not being properly managed; expired supplies were noted. Ensure that all first aid kits are checked for expired supplies and restocked as needed. This should be done on a regular basis.

      • -The surface under indoor elevated play equipment in the safe fall zone is unsatisfactory. Ensure that indoor elevated play equipment is used on appropriate surfacing.
