      • At the time of the event, no adult was present at the face painting station.Ensure that an adult who is aware of the requirements is present at all times during the event to supervise activities and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • The brushes were found sitting in stagnant, dirty water.Ensure that brushes are properly cleaned by washing in soapy water, rinsing in clean water, and then spraying with 70% isopropyl alcohol (or another approved disinfectant). Water used for cleaning must be discarded immediately when visibly dirty, and replaced with clean water as needed. Brushes should be stored in a sanitary manner (off the floor, in a dry and clean location

      • The painting brushes were not sprayed with disinfectant (70% isopropyl alcohol or another approved sanitizer).Ensure that brushes are properly disinfected by spraying with 70% isopropyl alcohol (or another approved sanitizer) and allowing them to air dry before reuse. While brushes are drying, use only clean brushes. Brushes must first be washed in soapy water, rinsed in clean water, and then disinfected. Water used for cleaning must be discarded immediately when visibly dirty and replaced with clean water as needed. Brushes should be stored in a sanitary manner (off the floor, in a clean and dry location) to prevent contamination.

      • No temporaray handwashing station was set up at the location. The painters were instructed to share a handwashing station with a nearby vendor.Ensure that a handwashing station is set up near the booth and is exclusively available for the face painter.
