    • 09. Are chemicals stored and handled in a safe manner?
      • At time of inspection:1. Chemical spray bottles were found to be situated on the main kitchen counter (which were not adequately labelled) and were capable of being accessible to young children frequenting this facility.The owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. Ensure all chemicals / chemical spray bottles are: a. Kept unaccessable to young children and b. Properly labelled. It is suggested to use masking tape and wrap the tape around the bottle and then write on the tape to indicate the active ingredient within each container.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • At time of inspection:1. One of the two washroom hand wash sinks was not properly functional (i.e. no hot water and was leaking) and did not contain liquid soap within the dispenser provided.The owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. Ensure all hand wash sinks are properly functional and are fully equipped with hot and cold potable water, liquid hand soap, and disposable hand towels.

      • At time of inspection:1. A microbiological water sample has not been submitted to the regional health authority since March 26, 2024. The owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. Please submit a new microbiological water sample to the regional health authority (Grande Prairie Public Health Centre) on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday (excluding holidays) from 8:30 AM - 1 PM.

      • At time of inspection:1. The south (side main entrance door) was not properly sealed at the bottom and can allow pests to enter into this facility. The owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. Re-seal the bottom of the south main entrance door.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • At time of inspection:1. One of two washroom hand sink faucets was leaking and did not contain hot water (only cold).The owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. Make necessary repairs to the washroom hand sink to ensure: a. It contains hot water and b. It is not leaking.
