    • 05. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • Total Alkalinity was measured at 43 ppm (first run) and 57 ppm (second run). Ensure the level of Total Alkalinity is maintained between 60 ppm and 180 ppm.
    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • The filtration rate is too fast. Rate of filtration is calculated to be 23.4 gallons per minute per square foot. [Rate of filtration=Flow rate/filter surface area: 115 GPM/4.91 Sqft=23.4]. - The rate of filtration needs to be no more than 15 gallons per minute per square foot. - For pools constructed before Nov 30, 2006, the rate of filtration for high rate sand filter must comply with manufacturer's specification. The manufacturer's specification for the pool filter should not be more than 74 GPM. * Please lower the rate of filtration to no more than 15 gallons per minute per square foot. Investigate the flow meter to confirm if it is reading the flow rate correctly.May 24: Operator advised that the pool service provider is considering: - repositioning the flow meter as it is inclined, which might result in fast filtration rate. - make adjustment on the pump, if the first option does not lower the filtration rate. Nov 5: The filtration rate is still high (23 gallons per minute per square foot). The operator advised the hotel is scheduled for renovation starting middle of November 2024. The pool flow rate will also be investigated and fixed during the hotel renovation months.
    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
