- 1) Some cupboard door surfaces are in disrepair. Please repair. Particularly around dishwasher and to left of dishwasher.** September 12, 2023 - Some cupboards are still in disrepair, especially of the edges. The requirements for kitchen surfaces were discussed with the manager onsite. All food contact surfaces must be kept smooth, non-absorbent, and east-to-clean. ** September 14, 2023 - Manager noted that a consult for necessary repair was conducted and will update PHI with the timeframe for repairs. Ensure all cupboards in the kitchen areas are in good repair.

- 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
- Dishwasher was not in good repair and could not be tested due to leakage issues. The facility is currently conducting manual dishwashing, and only single use utensils are used to serve residents. Facility is equipped with a 2-compartment sink in the kitchen areas. A small bucket, which can not fit larger equipment was used for the sanitizing step. A larger bucket that can accomodate proper utensil sanitizing was provided during the inspection. ** Repair the dishwasher, and ensure it is achieving the required temperatures. **A maintenance schedule for the dishwasher should also be in place.
