      • The operator was observed engaging in double‑dipping practices during a procedural explanation, which can lead to contamination of the bulk supply of melted wax.The PHI educated the operator that tongue depressor wood sticks used on a client’s skin must never be reinserted into the melted wax jar. A new stick must be used each time wax is collected, even when treating the same client.- Ensure that a fresh tongue depressor wood stick is used every time wax is taken from the bulk container.- As an alternative, consider using smaller wax-melting jars designated for individual clients, with any remaining wax discarded after use.
