- The staff informed the inspector that the linens for the treatment bed are changed every two days.Linens must be changed after each client to prevent cross contamination.

- Used nail drills and sanding bands were stored in the drawers at the nail station.Remove all used items immediately after service and ensure reusable tools are cleaned and high-level disinfected, and single-use items are discarded after each client.

- The brush used for cleaning semi-critical tools prior to disinfection was visibly dirty.Ensure cleaning tools are maintained in a sanitary condition and replaced as needed.

- 1. An intermediate level disinfectant (preempt RTU) was being used to disinfect semi critical pedicure and manicure tools.Obtain a high-level disinfectant such as preempt CS20 or HLD5 for use on semi critical tools. Ensure to follow manufactures instructions for use.2.The solution used for disinfecting semi-critical tools was being reused without proper testing and documentation.Obtain appropriate test strips for the high-level disinfectant and document test results throughout the entire reuse period to ensure the product remains effective.3.The metal foot files were being disinfected using only a low-level disinfectant.Metal foot files are considered semi-critical tools and must be cleaned and then high-level disinfected (fully submerged) after each client.

- 1. There were several unlabeled bottles containing products of unidentified contents.Label all containers to identify their contents. 2. The paraffin wax warmer contained dirt residue at the bottom.Clean and sanitize the warmer and maintain it in a clean condition before each use3. A reusable applicator was observed stored inside the exfoliating scrub container at each pedicure station.Use only single-use applicators to prevent contamination of the bulk supply.

- Paper towels were used to line the organizer for storing wax and tinting products in the wax service room. The paper towels were soiled.Remove the soiled paper towel and ensure all storage surfaces are smooth, non-absorbent, and easy to clean.

- 1. Reusable nail tools are washed with hand soap and then soaked in the CS20 for 5-10 minutes. 2. Disinfected nail tools are rinsed and dried with wet towel. 3. High level disinfectant CS20 is reused for 14 days but not tested daily for its concentration.1. REUSABLE NAIL TOOLS MUST BE DRIED AFTER WASHING AND THEN SUBMERGE INTO DISINFECTANT. THE REQUIRED CONTACT TIME FOR CS20 IS 20 MINUTES. PROVIDE AND USE A TIMER TO MONITOR CONTACT TIME. DO NOT USE HAND SOAP AS IT IS DESIGNED FOR HAND USE ONLY.2. CHANGE TOWEL FOR DRYING NAIL TOOLS AFTER EACH USE AND AS NEEDED. 3. CS20 MUST BE TESTED DAILY PRIOR TO USE TO REUSE FOR THE RECOMMENDED 14 DAYS. OBTAIN TEST STRIPS AND RECORD THE CONCENTRATION DAILY.
