      • The coving and wall around the bakery walk in freezer has cracked. Management is aware and has indicated a repair order has been submitted for this area. This is still outstanding. The lighting levels in several walk in coolers and freezers is inadequate for sanitation and pest control. Lighting must be increased in these areas.Lighting levels were measured as follows:Meat Freezer - 10 LuxProduct Cooler - 43 LuxDairy Cooler - 14 LuxSec 2.7 b of The Food Retail and Foodservices Code states that food establishments should be supplied with sufficient artificial light to ensure the safe andsanitary production of food, and facilitate cleaning of the premises. Unless otherwisespecified, the minimum lighting intensities should be:i) 110 lux (at a distance of 89 cm (3 ft.) above the floor) in walk-in coolers, dry food storage areas, and in all other areas and rooms during periods of cleaning;Increase lighting levels in the walk in coolers and freezers to a minimum of 110 Lux.May 11-2026 - Lights in the above noted areas are fixed. However, lighting levels in 2 walk-in cooling units in bakery section are low, cleaning is also required around the light covers.

      • There is protective film has been removed. The coving and wall around the bakery walk in freezer has cracked. Management is aware and has indicated a repair order has been submitted for this area. This is still outstanding. The lighting levels in several walk in coolers and freezers is inadequate for sanitation and pest control. Lighting must be increased in these areas. Management attempted to increase lighting levels by removing covers. This does not appear to be sufficient. A re-inspection will occur later this week to measure the lighting levels as equipment was unavailable in this inspection to do so.

    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Several birds were noted at the premises. Rodent droppings were noted in the seasonal area. Professional pest control have been onsite actively trying to catch the birds and pest control efforts have been increased in the seasonal department. Rodent droppings were not noted in other areas of the facility.One of the garage doors in the receiving area has a gap that may allow for pest entry. Have the door seal repaired to prevent pest entry.

      • There is protective film left on a metal cover on the floor of the bakery. The film cannot be cleaned and must be removed.The coving and wall around the bakery walk in freezer has cracked. Management is aware and has indicated a repair order has been submitted for this area. The lighting levels in several walk in coolers and freezers is inadequate for sanitation and pest control. Lighting must be increased in these areas.

      • Concentration of quats sanitizer in spray bottle in the deli was too low. The bottle was re-filled and tested to confirm correct sanitizer at 200 ppm.
