- Observation: Mice activity observed in upstairs portion of the store in the storeroom and in the consumer aisle where pet food is sold. No mice activity observed in the downstairs portion of the store. Mice activity observed to be concentrated on pet foods/bird seed. Pest control contact in place. Pest operator is coming out weekly according to premise Manager. Traps observed in place in the store room.
- Corrective Action(s): Purchase bins for all the pet food/bird seed currently stored in the consumer aisle. Limit the amount of pet food/bird seed stored on the shelf and bin all the product at night. Set traps in this area at night as discussed. Restock product at the beginning of each day until the pest problem has been eliminated
- In the upstairs storeroom raise all food items that can potentially be chewed into onto the highest shelf ie pet food/bird seed, flour bags etc. Increase the number and variety of traps as the number of traps appeared to be minimal.
