    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Toddler room: diapering station is next to a bathroom that is physically separated by a gate. It was discussed that the diapering station should be moved closer to the sink inside the toddler room. The sink was not operational and needs to have hot and cold running water.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The maximum hot water temperature at all sinks accessible to children were above 54C, including:Baby room diapering handwashing sink, toddler room and bathroom sinks, younger preschool room and bathroom sinks, OSC room and bathroom sinks.Ensure the maximum temperature doesn't exceed 54C (49C recommended). Mixing valve/tempering device can be installed at the sinks as to not affect the temperature of the water in the kitchen.

      • Baby room: bleach water spray bottle was not labeled. Corrected onsite.

      • Baby room: the radiator/vents under the window in one area had a gap that can pinch a finger.

      • Toddler room: diapering station is next to a bathroom that is physically separated by a gate. It was discussed that the diapering station should be moved closer to the sink inside the toddler room. The sink was not operational and needs to have hot and cold running water.

      • The following fridges were measuring above 4C:-Baby room (measured at 9C)-Senior preschool room (measured at 19C)Daily temperature logs should be maintained.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Toddler room: a wet/used cloth was observed on the bleach water spray bottle. Ensure the cloth is used once and put in a used cloth bin.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Senior preschool room: the brick toys (cardboard material) are no longer easy to clean and should be removed from the facility.
