- Single-use equipment was not being discarded after each use. Used nail files were observed inside the UV sterilizer. - Ensure single use nail files are discarded after each use.
- 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
- Cuticle nippers and nail clippers that were "cleaned" had visible dust/debris on them.- All reusable equipment must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and disinfected with high level disinfectant.
- 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
- Improper cleaning practice for contact surfaces such as nail counters and chairs as operator was using alcohol solution to clean and disinfect.- As discussed, please ensure at minimum a low-level disinfectant is being used.
