Made reservations for hubby's birthday dinner. This spot truly lives up to its 'fine dining' name. Our coats were taken upon arrival and the wait times were very reasonable with an amazing, knowledgeable server. For appys we had bread service which was absolutely delectable with honey butter, scallops were perfectly cooked only wished we had more than 3 per order but maybe understandable with scallop prices around here. For mains, hubby had the cut of the day, rib eye which he says was great & a good portion, delicious gravy & cauliflower puree. I had the weekly special I think, chicken parm with el dente spaghetti which was plenty and delicious. Dessert was not disappointing at all! We got sticky toffee pudding which hit the spot for hubby since he's such a sweet tooth and I got the chefs choice trio with some of the best cappuccino. I also enjoyed the basil and I think lavender lemonade. Overall a great experience with what tasted like a 'made from scratch' meal. I'm glad we have a fine dining spot in the area ☺️

I got a chance to have dinner this past weekend (Nov 2025) and I was not disappointed! I will be upfront it is an expensive place to dine compared to what these small towns have to offer, but you are going to have a much nicer dining experience than you could find anywhere in the west Kootenays. I have been all over the place trying to find a nice place to eat where I can actually dress up and feel like I'm actually getting a fine dining experience! Simple menu but they seem to have fluctuating features and they have an excellent cocktail menu! We tried the bread service - delicious fresh chunk of bread with flavoured butter... would have liked to see more than 1 flavour of butter, or a fresh bread basket with a couple of choices for the price point. It was good but a little too $$ for me, probably will skip it next time. If you love fresh homemade bread then go for it! Had the beef carpaccio appetizer and it was honestly the best carpaccio I've ever had. I've eaten it in Italy, Thailand, around Europe and North America as well as South America and everyone has their own way to make it but HOLY HELL it was amazing!!! So fine, and flavourful almost like a prosciutto that melts like butter! 1000% recommend! My bf tried the beef bourgignon stew and they nailed it. There was something rather firm with the taste and consistency of a water chestnut, not sure what it was, but it threw him off thinking it was an undercooked something (I don't think it was.) Flavour was incredibly rich. I had the steak, which for its size and cut was very reasonable in price. (48$) I was happy with how it was cooked (asked for rare) and the flavour was good... came with 3 green beans 2 carrots on a bed of cauliflower... and no I don't think potatoes count as a veg they are a carbohydrate... I do feel the vegetables were lacking considering they do not have "contorni" or sides to order - I would suggest adding sides to add vegetables for those of us who need more fibre... like green beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, any kind of side salad... maybe something to consider in the future? The dessert trio was so unique (banana egg rolls in caramel, some kind of chocolate cake, and pumpkin pie crème brûlée...) And the coffee was good (Italian style.) Overall it was a good experience for us and I will return for sure. Just be prepared to spend 100-200$ for dinner for 2, more if you want a bottle of wine. Can't wait to see how this place develops!

What a place! From the moment you walk in, the decor stands out- it’s completely different from what you’re used to seeing in Castlegar. The cocktails are incredible and so creative, each with a unique name. My favourite was “Have some decorum,” and honestly, you’ll need some decorum to stop yourself from ordering another one… so good! The food was insane! We had the beef carpaccio and crab cake as appetizers, both were delicious and full of unique flavours. The chef’s specialties truly reflect his own Canadian-French twist, and every dish feels thoughtfully crafted. The desserts were just as amazing. The whole atmosphere has a European charm… cozy, welcoming, and familiar at the same time. Chef Grant was so kind and even brought our mains to the table himself, and Sonia was lovely with her recommendations. An absolute must if you’re visiting, and an absolute spot if you’re a local.

Great atmosphere, dinner and overall experience. We had our corporate dinner there, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

The food was absolutely incredible. My fiancé and myself found ourselves coming here multiple times during our short visit because the menu is like nothing we ever seen. We had the Carpaccio and the bread service to start the meal off which was flawless. Strongly recommend the shrimp and grits but warning you, it is so good you may not want to speak at all to the people around you. 😂 Tried a couple unique, very bold and creative cocktails which were so delicious. Topped everything off with a very generous sized portion of lava cake which was the perfect end to a perfect date. Thank you Grant’s fine dining for the terrific experience, cant wait till next time.
