    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • 1. Some bleach spray bottles were not labeled with its contents. - Ensure that chemicals are adequately labeled. The bottle should indicate the chemical and the concentration.2. The bleach solution tested very strong. Chlorine bottles had a concentration of 500 ppm for general cleaning and on food contact surfaces (ie. the children's tables where lunch is eaten). - Chlorine bottles should be set for 100 ppm for general cleaning. Staff made new solution at the time of inspection and resolved the issue.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. One of the garbage pedal bins is in disrepair. The lid must be lifted manually. This can lead to contamination of hands.- Please provide a garbage bin where clients and staff do not need to handle the lid.

      • The high temperature dishwasher on site measured up to 64 degrees Celsius at the plate level.** Please ensure the dishwasher is able to measure up to 71 degrees Celsius at the plate level. ** Obtain a maximum registering waterproof thermometer to monitor the temperature of the dishwasher. **June 21 2024: Dishwasher has been reportedly repaired, though the thermometer to measure the highest temperature reached will not be delivered until next week.**- Please send picture of highest dishwasher temperature reached once the thermometer has been delivered- Thank you ! **

      • The backs of several of the white shelves in the preschool room was rough, unfinished wood. ** Please apply a proper finish (ex. paint) so the back surface of the shelf is made smooth, non-absorbent to moisture, and easily cleanable. **June 19 2024 update: IN PROGRESS. Backings were installed backwards **

      • One of the bleach mixtures was in a spray bottle that was unlabeled to indicate its contents. **Please label all chemical bottles.**THIS WAS CORRECTED DURING THE INSPECTION**
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • In the Preschool Room, the change table mat in the washroom was no longer secured to the table. The strap that was supposed to hold the mat to the table was broken. **Please repair so the change table mat is able to be secured to the elevated table.

      • In the Toddler 2 room, the grey couch (near the wall by the bookshelf), had the left arm rest deteriorating, and the area was taped over. ** Please remove the tape and properly repair or replace the grey couch.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Some of the children's water bottles that were all stored on the same cart in the preschool room did not have proper names / labels on them. **Please ensure all personal items are properly labeled with the child's name to indicate who it belongs to.
