      • Tweezers used for waxing was observed to dirty with wax and hair. **Ensure tweezers are cleaned, disinfected and stored in a sanitary manner.

    • 14. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Non-Critical)?
      • A few used nail files were observed. **Discard and ensure single used disposable items are discarded. ***CORRECTED DURING THE INSPECTION.
    • 18. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Non-Critical)?
      • Tweezers used for waxing was observed to dirty with wax and hair. **Ensure tweezers are cleaned, disinfected and stored in a sanitary manner.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Bleach and alcohol were still being used as disinfectants. The Preempt CS 20 was expired in March 2024. **Do not use bleach and alcohol as disinfectants. They are not recognized as approved disinfectants anymore. Obtain new CS 20 disinfectant for semi critical equipment.
    • 31. Are sinks accessible and used appropriately for the personal services provided?
      • Cleaning tools were being conducted in the washroom sink, **Do not use the washroom sink to clean tools. Use the sink in the nail service room for tool cleaning ONLY. Clients can wash their hands in the washroom sink prior to service. Inform staff and label the sink as tool cleaning sink only.
