    • 02. Is all food in this facility from an approved source and/or properly labelled?
      • The chest freezer no longer carried frozen chicken. Operator also indicated they stopped supplying the chickens. A package of bun/bread was missing labels. Operator was instructed to contact local supplier to ensure each bag had proper labeling.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Chlorine test strips were missing. Operator took a picture of the inspector's chlorine test strips. Please obtain chlorine test strips and use it for sanitizing food contact surfaces.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Staff washroom had hand soap but was missing paper towels. Please provide paper towels.

    • 02. Is all food in this facility from an approved source and/or properly labelled?
      • The chest freezer had frozen bulk chickens stored in a large bag. All chicken to be sold, must be individually wrapped and with proper labeling. Alternatively, the entire bag can be sold as whole - not a ripped bag with loose chicken sold and with no labeling. A package of bun/bread was missing labels. Operator was instructed to contact local supplier to ensure each bag had proper labeling.A clear bin was holding doughnuts with a lid and tongs. There was a label with ingredients on it.
    • 03. Is all food in this facility fit for human consumption and not unwholesome, spoiled, or adulterated?
      • Hot dogs in the cooler were past its best before date - September 3, 2025.
    • 06. Are appropriate food handling practices and plans in place to ensure that food is handled in a manner that makes it safe to eat?
      • Food were being re-packaged such as candy, spices, seeds, etc., however, there was no proper hand wash sink and cleaning set up in place. Ensure proper food safe set up is in place for food handling.
    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • In order to re-package, there must be dish detergent, an approved sanitizer, and applicable test strips for manual dishwashing of scoops, tongs, etc.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Staff washroom only had cold water, no hot water was present. Soap was present.
    • 14. Does the facility have an adequate supply of potable hot and cold running water and is the water sampled at required intervals?
      • The two compartment sink at the back had no hot water. Only cold water and dish detergent were present. Please note, this was an issue from previous inspection. Ensure there is hot and cold water readily available if re-packaging is to be conducted onsite.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Upon entering the store, a live cat was observed to be moving throughout the facility. Cat food and a cat scratch post were both present on the floor by behind the front till. Animals are not permitted inside a food establishment, only service animals. Owner and operator were informed to keep pets (ie. cat) and its supplies/toys at home.
