- Observation(s): Various food items in upstairs walk in cooler were being stored on the bottom shelf without lids or a cover. Storing food items this way may introduce potential contamination from food stored above. The operator located lids for the various food items during the inspection. Corrected during the inspection.

- Observation(s): Minor clean up required under equipment near the grill and prep line as an accumulation of food debris was present.

- Observation(s): Paper towel was not present at handwashing sink near the front counter/server station. A paper towel dispenser is located around the corner, but is not easily accessible for this station. Please place paper towel next to the handwashing station for staff to access.

- Observation(s): Facility is using a QUAT sanitizer from an automatic dispenser and has a chlorine dishwasher; however, no test strips were observed during the inspection.
- F2.1A Sanitizer test strips must be available for each chemical sanitizer used at the premises.
- F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
- Observation(s): Facility uses QUAT-based sanitizers in buckets for wiping food contact surfaces. A bucket filled with sanitizer solution recorded at 0ppm QUAT solution when tested with EHO test strips. Employee on site immediately discarded the old sanitizer solution and refilled it from the automatic dispenser. The new sanitizer solution recorded at 200ppm which is in compliance with the Regulations. All other sanitizers tested during the inspection were recorded at 200ppm. This is labelled as Corrected During the Inspection (CDI).
- F2.3D Sanitizer solution must be available and kept at the correct levels for adequate sanitizing action.
- F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
- Observation(s): Raw meat in covered containers were being stored on the floor in the upstairs walk in cooler. All food should be stored at least 6 inches off of the ground to prevent potential contamination and reduce the risk of attracting pests.

A very nice variety on the menu. Had beef Pot roast - so tender - best I’ve had in a while. Hubby had pulled pork Mac & cheese - also amazing. We were served by Amanda - very friendly - she was quite busy as she was the only waitress on, but still quite attentive. We were not kept waiting long for anything!!

Visited ABC Country Restaurant and was really pleased with the hospitality. Mamta was very attentive, and Hercules was so polite and a true gentleman. The chef did an amazing job — cooking and serving delicious food. Loved the experience, will definitely visit again, and highly recommend this place!

Well I had one of the worst experience at ABC restaurant in Cranbrook yesterday, we were visiting this restaurant regularly before we never had any issues , until yesterday so we ordered food for kids and 2 steaks with vegetables, to my surprise food came and I’m not kidding steaks were size of my thumb and 8 squares of sweet potato ( I counted) 3 slices of carrots and 2 pieces of broccoli and all of that will cost you $25.99 plus tax are you kidding me ? My wife stopped me from bringing this up to the management as she promised this is our last time we will be visiting this restaurant , so question to management by reducing portions and increasing prices do you think you will be gaining new loyal customers? Is ABC premium steak restaurant now ?

Came for the breakfast buffet. Reasonable price with bacon, sausages, eggs scrambled and benny, hash browns etc but my favourite was the butter chicken. Lightly spicy, dark coloured and belonged on everything! Not like you expect (I'm not usually a butter chicken fan) this was homemade and fantastic! The apple puff pastries were fresh! Not tasting like cardboard. Well-done ABC Cranbrook!

Sure glad I had the fish and chips 🍟 😋 smokin hot plate and tasty, tho tiny coleslaw...quick and responsive service and meal came in ~10 min...good job overall...bland, basic interior..but we didn't come for the ambiance!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! The waitresses are the NICES PEOPLE EVER!!!!! The food is AMAZING, the whole place is just amazing!!! Been here multiple times and every time is just amazing! Please come here is your looking for amazing food, great service and an amazing place in general to eat at. I LOVE IT HERE!!!

Went there for the Sunday buffet brunch. Food was cold, and alot of the food trays were empty. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Waited and waited for them to fill them but some just never happened. Would not go back to their buffet again. Not sure what the food is like on the menu but the Buffett is definitely not worth 23-24.00.

Homemade battered chicken fingers here cannot be beat, so very, very tasty. I also noticed how great their water is compared to other food joints around town, and wonderfully pleasant server said its because they take the time to double filter it, its little things like this that will keep me coming back. I had a double meat skillet & the fingers & it all came under $40!! Don't miss this gem of place & the great friendly server girls!!
