    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • Facility specific written procedures were not established by the operator.Templates for written procedures were provided during the inspection.Based on the procedures offered at the facility required following procedures:1)Written procedures for skin cleansing2)Written procedures for skin antisepsis3)Written procedures for client care in case of accidental skin cut and punctures.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Nov27: It was observed that facility had the High Level Disinfectant and corresponding test strips for testing, however the HLD and test strips were expired.HLD logs were not being maintained.Operator ordered the new HLD and test strips during the inspection.Nov 28: Received the photos of HLD and test strips with valid expiry date.HLD logs template was also provided during the inspection.-Please make sure to test the HLD on regular basis. -Follow manufacturer's instruction for reuse period and contact time of HLD.
    • 31. Are sinks accessible and used appropriately for the personal services provided?
      • Facility was using sink for handwashing and tools cleaning without establishing written procedures for sink decontamination.Discussed the steps for sink decontamination and written procedures with facility operator.Operator confirmed that a sink in one of the service rooms would be dedicated for tools cleaning. Client restriction could be accomplished through many different measures, such as posting a sign indicating the sink is for employee use only.
