- 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
- The cooler in the retail area containing milk and eggs was not equipped with a thermometer. Note, the cooler was satisfactory temperature at the time of inspection.ACTION REQUIRED: obtain a refrigerator thermometer to place in the cooler to monitor temperature (must be at or below 4C).
- 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
- Staff bathroom hand sink was not equipped with paper towel. Corrected during inspection: a loose roll of paper towel was placed in the washroom. ACTION REQUIRED: install a paper towel dispenser & ensure the hand wash station is always equipped with soap & paper towel.
- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?

- Back storage areas were cluttered with boxes and miscellaneous items such as a car seat. ACTION REQUIRED: store all boxes off the floor. Remove any items that are not related to the operations of the convenience store.
