      • * Floor cleaning liquid bottle was left on the cabinet with the bleach water solution. Please ensure flooring cleaning liquid is stored separately in locked unit and bleach water spray bottle also stored away from children reach.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • * Surface of the diaper changing table in the toddler room was not in repair. Please make sure diaper changing table is resurfaced.* Tall shelf in the toddler room surface was worn out. Please make sure it is resurfaced or replaced.* There was only one Bleach water solution spray bottle in rooms. Please ensure separate bleach water spray bottles are prepared for the rooms do diapering.

    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Toddler Room-Kids mats were very close to each other while they are napping.• Please make sure sleeping areas need to be large enough to have 60 cm of open space on all sides of beds except where the bed is next to a wall.• When children are placed side-by-side for sleeping, arrange them so that the head of one child is next to the feet of the next child, and so on. This will help to avoid children coughing in each other’s faces while sleeping.*One of the sleeping mattresses cover in the toddler room was not in good repair. Please make sure it is replaced.

      • Toddler room* Portable Humidifier was in reach of children. Please make sure it is moved from children's reach, and properly secured.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • *Observed the diapering procedure during the inspection. Diapering procedures was nor performed properly. Discussed the concern during the inspection. Please make sure diapering procedures signage is available by the diaper changing area. Staff need to review the procedure.* Diaper changing liner above the mat was not clean, and not a durable or cleanable material.Please make sure liner used on the diaper changing mat is non-water absorbent material which can be cleaned and sanitized after each use.

      • • Some of the surfaces on couple of the diaper changing mats were not durable/ non-water absorbent. Tested during the inspection. Please make sure diaper changing mats surfaces are non-water absorbent.

      • Tall grey shelf in the toddler room was not secured to the wall. Please make sure it is properly secured, mounted to the wall to prevent any injuries.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Observed during the inspection that kids were putting some of toys to their mouth and staff put them back to the container without cleaning and sanitizing them. Corrected during the inspection.Discussed the concerns during the inspection.Please make sure any toys put in the mouth are separated to get cleaned and sanitized. Please make sure they are not used before they get cleaned and sanitized.

      • Room upstairs across to infant room*There were multiple toys for different age groups, and some were left there due to many toys in the other rooms. No records of these toys being cleaned and sanitized. Please make sure cleaning and sanitizing of all toys are complete, provide adequate storage space for each room to store their own toys.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Preschool room in the basement *Beddings and blankets were not separately stored to prevent contamination. Please make sure bedding of each child shall not touch each other before laundering them,and shall be protected from contamination.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • There was no disinfectant solution in mixed group room on the main floor for bathroom which is used for toddler room. Corrected during the inspection. Please make sure disinfectant solution is available and provided to staff while they are using different rooms and bathrooms.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • There was only one CPR shield available on site.Please make sure all backpacks have their own CPR shiels in them. Please also train the staff how to use them in case they need to use.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • • Some of the surfaces on couple of the diaper changing mats were not durable/ non-water absorbent. Tested during the inspection. Please make sure diaper changing mats surfaces are non-water absorbent.• Noticed foam building toys in mixed use room at the shelf. They were not in good repair and due to material, they are not durable and non-water absorbent. Please make sure toys are in good repair, cleanable and they can be sanitized.• Room upstairs across to infant room was not in clean condition, and operator cannot prove when the last time they cleaned. No record of cleaning of the surfaces and toys cleaned in this room. Please make sure cleaning of the rooms, surfaces, shelves, toys are complete, recorded, and records are available onsite.Please make sure extra toys belongs to other rooms and left in this room. * Mix room on the main floor by the toddler room - shelves, containers, windows sill requires cleaning. Dust and dirt built up. No records available onsite. Pleased make sure cleaning schedules are properly checked after the cleaning is complete and records are kept onsite and available for inspections.

      • Couple of the diaper rash creams were not labelled in the toddler room. Please make sure personal items are properly stored in a safe and sanitary manner.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • One of the children in toddler room was left on the highchair unattended while staff was helping other kids fall asleep during the nap time. There was no staff close by to the child in case of any fall from the highchair. There was no food in front of the child. Corrected during the inspection. Discussed the importance of child safety with the operator and to make sure children are not kept unattended highchair by themselves to prevent any injuries.
