    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The high level disinfectant (PREempt CS20) is not being tested and logged. There are no test strips for this high level disinfectant.Corrective Action:- Obtain appropriate test strips for high level disinfectant and test each day it is used.- Maintain records (log) for high level disinfectant that includes the date of tests, test strip results (pass/fail), dates when disinfectant was changed (for reuse period), and initials of personal services worker who performed the activity. (An AHS template for records (log) is publicly available for use).
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) Non-critical equipment (such as facial tools - spatulas and face rollers) are being cleaned. However, not disinfected.Corrective Action:Advised to disinfect with at least a low level disinfectant after cleaning.2) A bottle of high level disinfectant (unopened) was found.Corrective Action:Advised staff to not use.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • The sink in the staff room was being used for both dining/food preparation and reprocessing of equipment.Corrective Action:Advised two options:1) Dedicate the sink in the staff room for reprocessing of equipment only.or2) Use the sink in the client service room for reprocessing of equipment.
