      • Observation:
      • Ants observed on floor of the kitchen. Operator informed that a deep clean was done the day before and no signs of ants were present at that time.
      • Corrective Action(s):
      • Ensure to clean all areas of the kitchen thoroughly each day. Contact pest control for recommendations on how to control and prevent ants from entering /breeding in the kitchen.

      • Observation: Rodent droppings were observed in the following areas:
      • -Lower table surface next to the stove-top
      • -Floor corner between the wall and side of the refrigeration unit.
      • Corrective Action(s): Clean and disinfect the aforementioned areas and remove the rodent droppings; Correct as soon as possible within 1 week. Contact the district Environmental Health Officer for a follow up inspection. Monitor for signs of recent pest activity and continue with integrated pest control measures (e.g. sealing off any holes/entry points, keeping entrance doors shut between use, keeping the food premises in a clean condition, storing dry food in enclosed cabinets/containers, having pest control visits as needed, etc.).

      • Observation: Thermometers were not available inside the refrigeration units at the time of inspection.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure that thermometers are available inside the refrigeration units to enable monitoring for safe refrigeration temperatures; Correct within two weeks.
