    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Back hand sink had a plate and a flattened carton propped behind the faucet and was blocking the soap dispenser. It was corrected during the inspection. Going forward, please keep the sink and its supplies accessible and unobstructed at all times.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • The long cutting board for the prep cooler had many cuts and the groove lines were discolored. The cutting board is due for repair or replacement.The handle of the stainless steel cooler (at the front with the juicer), had minor buildup of dried food, please clean.

    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • - During the inspection, the kale (leaf cabbage) was observed sitting at room temperature and measured at 19C.Action taken:- Staff was advised to put the kale in the cooler and take it out when the staff is ready to use it. - The staff member put the kale inside the cooler.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • - The ice scoops were stored directly in the ice and the handles of the scoops were touching the ice. This could cause cross-contamination. Action taken:- Education was provided to store the scoops separately from the ice so that there is no chance of contamination of ice.- The staff member placed the scoops in the separate clean container.
