      • Several lights in the Pine Room were not functional and needed replacement to ensure the room had adequate lighting. Ensure all childcare rooms are adequately lit and burnt-out lights are replaced.

      • There were various bottles of disinfectants both labelled and unlabeled being stored in an unlocked cupboard at child height in the Pine Room. The operator removed these chemicals during the inspection.Ensure chemicals are stored in a location inaccessible to children.

      • The ambient temperature of the Pine Room was measured at 17.2C using a gun thermometer.Ensure all childcare rooms are adequately heated and kept at a minimum of 20C.

      • Several lights in the Pine Room were not functional and needed replacement to ensure the room had adequate lighting. Ensure all childcare rooms are adequately lit and burnt-out lights are replaced.

      • The ceiling of the facility and light covers had a large buildup of dust and needed cleaning.Ensure the ceilings are regularly cleaned and maintained to prevent dust and debris buildup.

      • The weather stripping on the bottom of the back exit door to the outside in the Pine Room was not providing an adequate seal. Light from outside could be seen coming through underneath the door. Ensure the weather stripping is intact and provides a seal to prevent pest infiltration.

      • The screens were missing on several of the windows in the main childcare room.Ensure each window has a screen to prevent pest entry when window is open.
