    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • The metallic vent cover at the cedar room was easily removable. The vent was secured with a tape during inspection.Please monitor the vent and ensure its always properly secured. If the tape in use wears off, replace it and ensure the surface is smooth and easy to clean. A more permanent solution is recommended to secure the cover.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Some expired antiseptic wipes were observed in the first aid kit at the Aspen room. The wipes were replaced during inspection.Please monitor all first aid kits at the facility and ensure expired supplies are replaced.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • In the Aspen room, the leg covers are loose and present a pinching hazard to children. Secure gazebo leg covers.Test gazebo to ensure it is stable. In the Willow room there is a large shelf that requires stabilizing/securing.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Some of the antiseptic pads in the first aid kits had expired. Other missing items include:- Supply list to check contents. - First aid instructions. Have staff check kits routinely for missing contents.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Some paints labeled as 5 plus, or missing non-toxic labeling were available in the Cedar room. The paints were removed at PHI request.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Two shelves were not properly anchored and posed a risk to client safety. Shelves were immediately removed until they could be properly secured.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • The one handwashing basin nearest the diapering change table was being used for other purposes.Operator indicated that they would use that sink basin for handwashing only.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • The chlorine sanitizer for toys and food surfaces measured greater than 200 ppm.This was immediately corrected by operator by diluting solution to 100 ppm.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • The bathroom hand sinks were not properly draining. One of the hand sinks was not getting adequate hot water.Operator indicated they would immediately address the issue.
