Inspection summary
Bright Jenny Coffee has been inspected once by Interior Health Authority, on November 13, 2025. The most recent inspection, on November 13, 2025, recorded 3 infractions.
In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 3 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Food temperature control, Pests and Cleaning and sanitizing.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
Food temperature controlHigher risk
Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.
Recorded once on November 13, 2025. For example:
2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
PestsHigher risk
Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.
Recorded once on November 13, 2025. For example:
2 Are proper pest control measures in place on the premises?
Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk
Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.
Recorded once on November 13, 2025. For example:
3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?

This café was just around the corner from our hotel, so we popped in for an afternoon caffeine fix. The space is absolutely gorgeous. It honestly feels like one of those trendy cafés you'd stumble across in Bali. We shared the Strawberry Iced Matcha, and let's just say there wasn't much sharing going on by the end. Everyone in the car wanted the last sip. They were generous with the matcha, and the flavour was spot on. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Kelowna!

Everything is a complete 10 out of 10, including the drink, quality, service, atmosphere, and everything else. However, all of their iced drinks have the least functional lid cap that I’ve ever put eyes on. Said lid conveniently sprays coffee all over your white shirt if you don’t sip with 100% accuracy, and if you have a moustache, it automatically stores some within the moustache for a later date because the opening to the lid has to stay open. The review will be a 4/5 until there is a proper lid. UPDATE. They have changed their lids and they now work flawlessly. 5/5 as promised. Photo for proof.

We stopped in and took our coffee out but this place is beautiful and has such cool spaces to sit and play games and relax with a group of friends.

I visited Bright Jenny Café in the Mission area for the first time, and it instantly became one of my favourite spots in Kelowna. The ambiance is beautiful, calm, inviting, and perfectly located in a lovely area. It’s the kind of café where you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. A special shout-out to Emily, who truly elevated my experience. She is incredibly kind, professional, and exceptionally talented. The latte art she creates, flowers, swans 🦢, hearts, and more, is done with such precision and beauty that it feels like receiving a little piece of art with every cup. Without a doubt, she is one of the best café artists in Kelowna and beyond. Her warm attitude and artistic skill made my visit memorable, and she genuinely deserves great appreciation. All the staff were very friendly, polite, and welcoming, which added to the overall great experience. I will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend Bright Jenny Café to anyone looking for amazing coffee, a great atmosphere, and wonderful people.

I only had a brewed coffee (great coffee) but everything else looked lovely and the service was great. It’s such a sweet place and worth visiting.

Such an amazing location for a coffee shop. The place is super nice and it even has a little kid area. With the amazing turn out and support and the loud music it is a bit hectic for a work spot, I suggest putting some work table away from the kids area, but definitely a great place to socialize and get people together. It will be a great community meet up location.

⸻ I chose this café for breakfast because of all the glowing reviews saying it’s a must-visit in Kelowna. Unfortunately, the menu had very limited options, and the staff were cold and unfriendly. We ended up just ordering coffee and leaving. I had a cold brew that tasted oddly like wine — almost alcoholic. They said their cold brew has a “unique” flavor and offered to replace it with an iced Americano if I didn’t like it. I also noticed the staff were much more engaged with customers of their own background — it didn’t feel welcoming. If you’re sensitive to that kind of vibe, I’d skip this place. Overall, it didn’t live up to the hype and I wouldn’t recommend it

Great little cafe to visit first thing, early in the morning. We were going to “grab and go” for our long drive home but the atmosphere was great, they put in little details like writing on our to go boxes, and the food was great~ …

I had a Iced Vanilla Latte the coffee itself wasn't strong enough for my personal liking. I got a couple cookies and they were pretty good for vegan cookies. I'm not vegan that's just what they had left. Lots of seating and cute little booths with a play area for the kids.
