    • 05. Are communicable diseases at this facility being properly managed?
      • Several soft items such as a pillow, fabric chair, cardboard puzzles and books were observed in all rooms. These items cannot be cleaned and disinfected effectively. Ensure all items which cannot be easily cleaned and disinfected are removed during outbreak. The operator removed the indicated items during the inspection.
    • 05. Are communicable diseases at this facility being properly managed?
      • The bleach/chlorine sanitizer in the toddler room diapering area was measured at 50ppm with bleach/chlorine test strips. Ensure bleach/chlorine sanitizer is maintained at 1000ppm during outbreak. The operator prepared a 1000ppm bleach/chlorine sanitizer during the inspection.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Two stained ceiling tiles were observed in the toddler room near the diapering area.Ensure the indicated ceiling tiles are replaced.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • In the toddler room, children's personal lotions were observed to be stored in one large container leaving them prone to cross-contamination. Ensure children's personal items are stored separately to help prevent cross contamination.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Some art supplies observed in the Toddler room were not age appropriate and labelled for children over 4 y.o. They were removed during the inspection.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Water stains were observed on the ceiling in the Toddler room, OSC room and laundry room. Investigate and remove the source of water infiltration and replace affected ceiling tiles.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • Hot water temperature was too high in the OSC room and measured as 53.2C in the room and 52.6C and 52.3C in the washrooms. The issue was addressed during the inspection: water temperature was lowered to 39.3C, 39.2C and 40.8C, respectively.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • The hot water was too low and measured as 22.3C in the Toddler washroom. Please address.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • There was no safety barrier on the diaper changing surface in the Toddler washroom (diapers changed on a counter). Please provide.
